Layers of Memory

Reworked used sweaters sewn together by hand to create a striped OG maskie shape. Coloured with shades of red and light pink layered between black. This maskie's layered look resembles that of a sedimentary rock, which are made up of pre existing rocks or living organisms. Sedimentary rocks, like this maskie, suggest an opportunity to appreciate the past and how it binds with present moments to create a unique combination of memory and presence.
